Boat found at bottom of Texas lake not missing hunter’s

A boat found at the bottom of Lake Meredith during the search for missing hunter Ryan Kennedy was not the missing man’s, authorities say.

Images from a side scanning sonar unit led authorities to think they had located Kennedy’s missing boat, but after pulling the boat’s motor out of the water, they determined it didn’t match the one on the missing man’s boat.

The search of the lake was temporarily suspended Wednesday.

Kennedy has been missing since Dec. 15.

He called his family to tell them he had killed a deer at Lake Meredith and would be heading home.

He never returned.

That night, rangers found the man’s truck and boat trailer, but there was no sign of him or the boat.
